Austin, TX (February 20, 2025) – Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Tuesday morning in southeast Austin.
The Austin Police Department confirmed that the crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Ben White Boulevard service road eastbound. Officers and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene and found that a pedestrian, later identified as 29-year-old Isiah Turner, had been struck by a vehicle.
Emergency medical personnel transported Turner to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities stated that the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation, and officials have not yet provided details regarding possible contributing factors.
