Pedestrian Accidents in Tennessee
Pedestrian accidents remain a significant concern in Tennessee, particularly on busy roadways like Murfreesboro Pike. Situations involving breakdowns and roadside activity increase the risk of collisions, as drivers may not anticipate pedestrians in these areas.
According to the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, pedestrian fatalities account for a significant percentage of traffic-related deaths statewide. Factors such as low visibility at night, high speeds, and driver inattention contribute to the dangers pedestrians face. Drivers must remain alert and cautious, especially in areas where stranded vehicles or pedestrians may be present.
