Head-On Collisions in Alabama
Head-on collisions are among the most severe types of accidents, often resulting in catastrophic outcomes due to the force of impact. In Alabama, such crashes frequently occur on rural roads with limited lighting, narrow lanes, or sharp curves, which can make navigating them particularly dangerous during nighttime hours.
Lack of seat belt use remains a significant factor in traffic fatalities. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), seat belts reduce the risk of death by approximately 45% in passenger vehicles, underscoring the importance of buckling up every time.
