Andrew, MO (October 30, 2024) – A serious traffic accident occurred on the morning of October 30, 2024, at approximately 8:50 a.m. at the intersection of MO 48 and RT M, located six miles west of King City. The incident involved two vehicles and resulted in injuries, prompting a response from local emergency services.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2018 Toyota Camry, driven by 60-year-old Colleen McGrane from Clyde, MO, was traveling southbound on Route P when it failed to stop at a stop sign. As a result, the Camry entered the eastbound path of a 2006 Jeep Liberty, driven by 61-year-old Trent Lorraine from Amazonia, MO. The Jeep struck the passenger side of the Camry, causing it to veer off the southeast side of the intersection. The Camry then collided with a stop sign and came to rest in a field off the east side of Route M, facing north.
The Jeep Liberty, after the impact, traveled off the south side of MO 48 and struck a utility pole, ultimately coming to rest on its wheels facing southwest. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene by Kizer’s Towing and Blue Knight Towing.
Trent Lorraine sustained injuries in the crash and was transported by Grand River EMS to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph for evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the accident.
Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident, and we wish for a swift recovery for the injured driver.
