Anabel, MO (February 15, 2025) – A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on US-36 at Anabel on Friday morning, resulting in the death of one driver and injuries to another.
The crash happened at 10:55 a.m. when a 2011 Kia Forte failed to yield and was struck by an eastbound 2024 Ram 1500.
The driver of the Kia Forte, a 52-year-old male from Anabel, MO, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene at 11:05 a.m. by Macon County EMS paramedic Chris Bogguss. He was later transported to Greening Eagan Hayes Funeral Home.
The driver of the Ram 1500, a 49-year-old male from Atlanta, MO, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to Samaritan Hospital by Macon County EMS.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed by Still Towing. Multiple agencies, including Macon County Rescue, Macon Rural Fire, and the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, assisted in the investigation.
