Hit-and-Run Accidents in California
Pedestrian hit-and-run crashes are an ongoing concern in California, especially in busy urban and suburban areas. When drivers flee the scene, they not only break the law but also endanger the lives of those they leave behind by delaying medical care.
This case highlights the importance of driver accountability. All motorists are legally required to stop after a collision, especially when someone has been injured. Pedestrians, particularly those working near roadways, should also remain vigilant and take precautions to increase their visibility.
For hit-and-run victims, the road to recovery can be challenging, with medical costs, lost wages, and emotional distress. However, there are legal options available, even when the at-fault driver has not yet been located.
