Albany, KY (February 19, 2025) – A fatal head-on collision occurred on US 127 in Clinton County early Tuesday morning, resulting in one death and serious injuries to another individual.
According to Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15, the crash was reported at 6:27 a.m. CST on February 18, 2025. The preliminary investigation determined that Andrew Ridge, 21, of Albany, was traveling south in a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 when his vehicle crossed both northbound lanes and entered the northbound shoulder. As Ridge attempted to return to the southbound lanes, his vehicle collided head-on with a 2022 Mack tractor-trailer, driven by Dylan Tuck, 26, also of Albany, who was traveling north on US 127.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Mr. Ridge was pronounced deceased by the Clinton County Coroner. Mr. Tuck sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the University of Tennessee Hospital for further treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing by Senior Trooper Weston Sullivan. Authorities were assisted at the scene by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Albany Fire Department, Clinton County Fire and EMS, the Clinton County Coroner, and the Kentucky State Highway Department.
