The incident involved two vehicles and took place when a 2018 GMC Sierra Pickup, driven by 38-year-old Adam Michael Davis, rear-ended a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, which was stopped with its signal on to turn left.
Preliminary reports indicate that the GMC Sierra Pickup was traveling eastbound on Hwy 47 when it failed to notice the Equinox, leading to the collision. Fortunately, the road conditions were dry at the time of the accident, which may have contributed to the overall circumstances of the crash.
The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox, 39-year-old Jamie Lynn Miller, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Riverwood Hospital in Aitkin for medical evaluation. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and there was no indication of alcohol involvement in either vehicle.
