Agnos, AR (December 22, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle accident on US Highway 62 near Mimosa Estates Cir in Agnos claimed the life of one individual and left another injured on Thursday, December 19. The crash, which occurred at approximately 3:31 PM, involved three vehicles and resulted in severe damage and road disruptions.
According to the Arkansas State Police report, a 2016 Toyota Sequoia and a 1991 Chevrolet S10 were traveling eastbound when the Toyota rear-ended the Chevrolet. The impact propelled the Chevrolet into the westbound lanes, where it was struck by a 2023 GMC Sierra.
The driver of the Chevrolet S10, identified as 61-year-old David L. Hobbs of Ash Flat, tragically succumbed to his injuries. His body was transported to Tri-County Funeral Home. The driver of the Toyota Sequoia, 36-year-old Jamilia D. West of Ash Flat, sustained injuries and was transported to White River Health in Cherokee Village for treatment.
The crash occurred under clear weather and dry road conditions. Authorities continue to investigate the incident to determine additional details about the sequence of events leading to the collision.
