Acadia Parish, LA (November 20, 2024) – A tragic two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 90 near Ebenezer Rd claimed the life of 59-year-old Gilbert Price, Jr., a resident of Rayne. The accident occurred on Tuesday morning, shortly after 10:00 a.m., and is currently under investigation by Louisiana State Police Troop I.

Authorities have collected toxicology samples from both drivers as part of the ongoing investigation to determine contributing factors.
The Louisiana State Police extend their condolences to Gilbert Price’s family during this difficult time. This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of seat belt use and adherence to traffic safety laws.
