Aberdeen, SD (November 10, 2024) – A tragic rollover crash early Saturday morning claimed the lives of two men from Aberdeen, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol. The single-vehicle accident occurred around 1:22 a.m., eight miles northeast of Aberdeen.
A 37-year-old driver and a 36-year-old passenger were traveling westbound in a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander on Brown County 13 near the intersection of 393rd Avenue. The vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, and vaulted off the shoulder at the intersection before rolling over. Both occupants were ejected from the car and suffered fatal injuries.
Authorities confirmed that neither individual was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Their names are being withheld pending family notification.
