Thurston County, WA (March 10, 2025) – A serious head-on collision with injuries occurred late Sunday night on State Route 510 near Reservation Road. Multiple agencies, including Washington State Patrol, Nisqually Tribal Police, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, and Lacey Fire District Three, responded to the crash.
The accident, reported at approximately 10:38 p.m., involved two vehicles with heavy damage. Emergency crews confirmed airbag deployment and entrapment. One of the vehicles caught fire following the impact, prompting Nisqually Police officers to rescue the occupant from the burning vehicle while law enforcement used a fire extinguisher to contain the flames.
Initially, an airlift was placed on standby due to the severity of the crash. However, at 10:40 p.m., emergency personnel determined that two individuals required advanced life support (ALS) treatment but could be transported via ground ambulance. Authorities on the scene reported that one of the drivers appeared heavily intoxicated, and Washington State Patrol was notified.
The roadway remained blocked for an extended period as officials worked to investigate and clear the scene.
