East Price Hill, OH (March 10, 2025) – A devastating house explosion in East Price Hill on Sunday night left four people injured, including two children.
According to the Cincinnati Fire Department, the explosion occurred around 8 p.m. at a multi-family home on Elberon Ave. When emergency crews arrived, they found the building heavily engulfed in flames, with one of its walls completely collapsed.
One victim was discovered lying in the front yard and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with severe burns. Another adult and two children sustained minor injuries and were also transported for medical treatment.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze while authorities shut down nearby streets for safety and investigation purposes. A vacant building adjacent to the explosion site also sustained damage.
Witnesses in the area reported hearing two loud blasts, with the second explosion being powerful enough to shake nearby homes. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the explosion, and officials noted that no smoke detectors were present in the home. The estimated damage is around $300,000.
