Rural Ouachita, AR (March 8, 2025) – A crash on Ouachita County Rd 85 resulted in the death of one driver and left another occupant injured.
According to authorities, the accident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. when a 2004 Ford, traveling westbound on Ouachita 85, veered across the center line into the eastbound lane. The vehicle then struck a stump, overturned onto its driver’s side, and collided with a tree before hitting a second tree with its roof.
The driver, identified as 56-year-old William Burdine of Camden, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to the Ouachita County Morgue.
A passenger in the vehicle, 28-year-old Tristen Clemons, also of Camden, sustained injuries in the accident. He was transported to Ouachita County Medical Center for treatment.
The road conditions at the time were dry, and the weather was reported as clear. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
