Pedestrian Accidents in New Jersey
Pedestrian fatalities remain a significant concern in New Jersey, particularly on high-traffic roads like White Horse Pike. Many of these accidents occur at night when visibility is reduced, making it more difficult for drivers to react in time to pedestrians crossing the road.
Roadways like Route 30 can be dangerous for those on foot, especially in areas without marked crosswalks or pedestrian signals. Speeding, poor lighting, and driver inattention are common factors in pedestrian crashes.
New Jersey law emphasizes a driver’s duty to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks, but pedestrians must also take precautions when crossing major roads. Families of victims may have legal options to seek justice and compensation for their loss.
If you or someone you love has been impacted by a pedestrian accident, resources are available to provide guidance and support. Understanding your rights and seeking legal advice can be crucial in moving forward after such a tragedy.
