North Las Vegas, NV (March 6, 2025) – A fatal crash involving a sedan and a garbage truck occurred Wednesday morning at the intersection of Cheyenne Ave and Valley Dr.
According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 10:15 AM following reports of a serious collision. The crash involved a silver Infiniti sedan and a Republic Services garbage truck. Tragically, both occupants of the sedan were killed in the crash.
Authorities state that the Infiniti was traveling westbound on Cheyenne Ave when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to cross over the center median. As the sedan entered the eastbound lanes, it collided head-on with the garbage truck. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene to extinguish the flames and assess the situation. The Clark County coroner’s office will determine the identities of the deceased as well as the cause and manner of death. Investigators have not yet determined if impairment played a role in the crash.
