Hit-and-Run Accidents in Missouri
Hit-and-run accidents pose a serious danger to Missouri motorists, especially when drivers flee the scene without providing aid or information. These incidents can leave victims with medical expenses, vehicle damage, and uncertainty about their legal options.
Missouri law requires all drivers involved in an accident to stop, exchange information, and assist injured parties when necessary. Failing to do so can result in serious legal consequences, including criminal charges. Unfortunately, not all at-fault drivers comply with these laws, leaving victims to deal with the aftermath alone.
In cases where the responsible driver is not located, uninsured motorist coverage may help cover damages. Seeking legal guidance can also assist victims in exploring their options for compensation.
