The Dangers of 18-Wheeler Accidents in Texas
Highway crashes involving large commercial trucks, such as the one on I-45, often result in severe injuries or fatalities due to the size and weight of these vehicles. The inability to stop in time, especially at high speeds, is a leading cause of multi-vehicle pileups and fatal collisions.
The Texas Department of Transportation reports that accidents involving 18-wheelers are a significant concern on highways, particularly in high-traffic areas where sudden stops and lane changes are common. Driver fatigue, speeding, and road congestion are often contributing factors.
For those affected by truck accidents, seeking immediate medical attention, documenting the scene, and understanding their legal rights are crucial steps in handling the aftermath. Trucking companies and insurance providers may become involved in complex liability disputes, making professional legal guidance essential.
