Russellville, KY (March 4, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Logan County on Monday evening, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 1700 block of Lewisburg Rd following reports of a collision involving injuries. Upon arrival, authorities found the pedestrian, identified as Jesse Canada, unresponsive off the roadway.
The driver, Donna Garrett, was located in the northbound lane in her Jeep, which had sustained damage to the front driver’s side. Preliminary investigations indicate that Garrett had been traveling southbound when she struck Canada, who was either walking in the middle of the roadway or attempting to cross.
Logan County EMS pronounced Canada deceased at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact factors that led to the collision.
