Hayden, ID (March 4, 2025) – A serious collision occurred Monday morning at the intersection of US Highway 95 and Hayden Ave, leaving multiple people injured. The crash took place at approximately 9:40 a.m. after a high-speed vehicle ran a red light and struck another car.
According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), multiple reports were received about a red Honda SUV traveling southbound on US-95 at speeds exceeding 100 mph with its emergency flashers activated. As an ISP trooper arrived at the intersection, the speeding Honda ran a red light and collided with a silver Subaru Legacy in a T-bone crash.
The impact caused the Subaru to block the southbound lanes of traffic, while the Honda veered across the median, nearly hitting the responding trooper before rolling over. The vehicle came to rest on a bike path near Super 1 Foods.
Emergency responders, including a nearby Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputy, immediately provided medical aid to those involved. The driver of the Honda, identified as Isabella Hensley, was medically evaluated before being booked into the Kootenai County Jail on felony aggravated reckless driving charges. The exact number of injuries and their severity have not been disclosed at this time.
Authorities confirmed that there was no active police pursuit prior to the crash. The Idaho State Police continue to investigate the incident.
