Multi-Vehicle Crashes and Construction Zone Safety in New York
Highway construction zones can significantly impact traffic flow, requiring drivers to stay alert and reduce speed when approaching these areas. Rear-end and chain-reaction crashes like this are often caused by drivers failing to adjust their speed when traffic slows.
New York law requires drivers to exercise caution in work zones, with reduced speed limits and increased penalties for violations. When approaching a construction zone, motorists should remain vigilant, maintain a safe following distance, and be prepared for sudden stops.
