St. Clair County, MO (March 3, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash on Highway A, just west of Lowry City, left one driver injured on Saturday evening.

The collision occurred at approximately 5:40 PM along Highway A, about 5.25 miles west of Lowry City. Reports indicate that a Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 78-year-old man from Rosco, MO, failed to yield, leading to a crash with a 2018 Toyota RAV4, operated by a 79-year-old man from Osceola, MO. Following the initial impact, a 2013 Ford F-250, driven by a 70-year-old man from Fair Play, MO, then struck the Toyota RAV4.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The driver of the Toyota RAV4 suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Ellett Ambulance to Ellett Hospital in Appleton City for medical care. The other two drivers were not reported to have sustained injuries.

Due to the severity of the impact, both the Chevrolet Colorado and the Toyota RAV4 were extensively damaged and had to be removed from the scene by Bray’s Towing of Osceola. The Ford F-250 sustained moderate damage but was able to be driven away.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash. The accident serves as a reminder of the risks present on Missouri roadways. Our thoughts are with the injured victim, and we hope for a full and swift recovery.

Navigating Roadway Hazards in Missouri

Missouri’s highways and rural roads present a variety of driving challenges, especially when it comes to intersections and right-of-way laws. Accidents caused by failure to yield are among the leading contributors to traffic collisions across the state. Many of these crashes occur when drivers misjudge the speed of oncoming vehicles or fail to adhere to posted traffic signs.

On highways like the one west of Lowry City, where speed limits tend to be higher, drivers must remain alert when merging or crossing traffic. When a driver fails to yield, the potential for a serious accident increases, particularly when multiple vehicles are involved. Crash reports in Missouri show that such incidents frequently result in significant vehicle damage and injuries requiring hospitalization.

For those injured in roadway crashes, the aftermath can be overwhelming. Medical treatment, vehicle repairs, and insurance claims can create financial strain and uncertainty. Seeking the right support and understanding available legal options can help victims navigate the recovery process while ensuring that responsible parties are held accountable.
