Volusia County, FL (February 1, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian accident early Saturday morning claimed the life of an 18-year-old on International Speedway Boulevard near Red John Drive, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 12:52 a.m., when a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, traveling east in the outer lane, struck the teen. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP reported that the driver and two passengers remained on-site and were not transported for medical treatment.
