Lawrence County, MO (March 1, 2025) – A vehicle crash on Business 60 in Aurora left four people injured after the vehicle veered off the road, struck a utility pole, and overturned multiple times.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred at approximately 8:38 p.m. when a westbound 2009 Honda Civic, driven by a 19-year-old man from Aurora, lost control and left the roadway. The vehicle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Hillbilly Towing of Marionville.
Emergency responders arrived quickly to assist the injured occupants. A 16-year-old male passenger from Marionville suffered serious injuries and was transported by Mercy Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. A 16-year-old female passenger from Aurora also sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. A 17-year-old male passenger from Aurora sustained minor injuries, as did the driver, who was also transported for medical care.
Authorities are investigating the factors that led to the crash, including road conditions and possible driver-related factors.
