Montour County, PA (February 27, 2025) – A man tragically lost his life following a collision at Route 11 and Grovania Drive in Montour County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Milton, the crash occurred at approximately 3:03 p.m. when 86-year-old Carl Swisher of Danville attempted to make a left turn at the intersection. A pickup truck traveling in the area was unable to avoid the collision and struck Swisher’s vehicle.
Swisher was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday afternoon, as confirmed by the Montour County Coroner’s Office. Authorities have not released additional information regarding the condition of the other driver or any potential contributing factors.
