Semi-Truck Accidents in Ohio
Collisions involving semi-trucks are often catastrophic due to the size and weight of commercial vehicles. When a truck crosses the median into oncoming traffic, the results are often deadly.
Several factors can contribute to these types of crashes, including:
- Driver Fatigue: Truck drivers often spend long hours on the road, increasing the risk of drowsy driving.
- Mechanical Failures: Brake issues, tire blowouts, or steering problems can cause loss of control.
- Weather & Road Conditions: Slippery roads or sudden lane changes may lead to unintended movements.
- Medical Emergencies: Sudden health issues, such as a heart attack or seizure, can cause a driver to lose control.
Ohio law requires trucking companies and drivers to adhere to strict safety and maintenance regulations to prevent tragic incidents like this one. When negligence or preventable factors contribute to a crash, legal action may be taken to seek justice for victims and their families.
If you or a loved one has been impacted by a serious truck accident, understanding your rights and legal options is crucial.
