Madison, WI (February 26, 2025) – Authorities are investigating an incident in which a bus driver lost control and crashed into a restaurant after being attacked by a passenger on Tuesday night.
Emergency crews, including the City of Madison Fire Department, responded to the crash at 1 Dempsey Rd around 7:45 p.m. Two individuals were evaluated for injuries at the scene. Their conditions have not been disclosed.
According to witness statements, a female passenger became agitated upon learning that the bus was not traveling to her desired location. She allegedly assaulted the driver, causing the vehicle to veer off course and collide with the building. By the time officers arrived, the suspect was no longer in the area.
