Bronx, NY (February 25, 2025) – A tragic bicycle collision in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx left one teenager dead and another injured on Monday night.
According to reports, the accident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. near 1681 E 172nd St when an 18-year-old male and a 14-year-old female were struck by a Honda Odyssey driven by a 42-year-old man. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported all three individuals to local hospitals. Sadly, the 18-year-old was pronounced dead upon arrival. The 14-year-old sustained injuries, but her condition has not been publicly disclosed.
Authorities have not made any arrests, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
