Oakport Township, MN (February 23, 2025) – A head-on collision on Highway 75 in Oakport Township resulted in a fatality on Saturday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:58 PM near mile marker 254 when a Toyota Tundra, driven by Christopher Thomas Pink, 28, of Moorhead, was traveling northbound in the southbound lane. A Jeep Compass, driven by a 43-year-old woman from Ennis, TX, was traveling southbound when the two vehicles collided.

Emergency responders, including Clay County deputies, Moorhead Police Department, and Dilworth Fire Department, arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The Jeep Compass driver’s information has not yet been fully released but is expected to be made public on February 23, 2025, at 8:00 PM.

Authorities confirmed that alcohol was involved in the crash. The Toyota Tundra driver, Christopher Thomas Pink, was uninjured, while details regarding the Jeep Compass driver’s condition have not yet been disclosed. Both vehicles had their airbags deployed at the time of impact.

The road conditions were dry at the time of the accident. The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision.
