Homedale, ID (February 22, 2025) – A 65-year-old woman from Parma was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 95 near Homedale on Saturday morning.
According to Idaho State Police (ISP), the accident occurred at approximately 6:59 a.m. at milepost 31, south of Homedale. Authorities reported that a 22-year-old man from Mexico was driving a 2013 Kenworth semi-truck northbound when, for an unknown reason, he swerved into the southbound lane and collided with the woman’s 2001 Ford Explorer head-on.
Despite both drivers wearing seatbelts, the impact of the crash proved fatal for the Parma woman. ISP has not disclosed whether the semi-truck driver was injured or transported to a hospital.
Officials are actively investigating the cause of the crash and have not yet determined why the semi-truck veered into oncoming traffic. Additional updates may be provided as more details emerge.
