Twin Falls, ID (February 22, 2025) – The Twin Falls Police Department is investigating an early morning hit-and-run crash that left one person severely injured after the suspects fled the scene on foot.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:14 a.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Highland Ave and Lois St. Authorities reported that a midsize vehicle traveling eastbound on Highland Ave failed to stop at a stop sign and T-boned a northbound midsize car at high speed.
The force of the collision sent both vehicles onto a nearby lawn, leaving the northbound car heavily damaged and its driver unconscious with severe injuries. Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the victim by helicopter to Boise for emergency surgery. The sole occupant of the struck vehicle remains in critical condition.
The occupants of the eastbound car fled the scene on foot, but Twin Falls Police later confirmed that the suspects had been accounted for. The authorities are working to determine their involvement and potential charges.
Police have stated that the speeding driver’s exact velocity at the time of impact will be determined after obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle’s data.
The intersection was closed for approximately four hours while investigators processed the scene. Authorities are now seeking doorbell or security camera footage from residents who may have captured evidence related to the crash.
