Yamhill County, OR (February 22, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash on Oregon Route 99 in Yamhill County claimed the life of one driver and left another injured on Wednesday morning.

According to Oregon State Police (OSP), the accident occurred at approximately 9:18 a.m. near milepost 30. Authorities stated that Stephen Jerrold Miller, 28, of Woodland, WA, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado southbound when he attempted to turn onto Highway 18.

During the turn, the Silverado collided with a northbound Toyota Yaris driven by Christine Da Ai Yoon, 31, of McMinnville. Tragically, Yoon was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the severity of the impact.

Miller sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. His current condition has not been disclosed.

The highway was shut down for over two hours as investigators worked to examine the scene and determine the circumstances leading up to the crash. Authorities have not yet released an official cause, and the investigation remains ongoing.
