Lynchburg, VA (February 22, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Lynchburg on Friday afternoon left one person injured and resulted in one of the involved vehicles catching fire.
According to the Lynchburg Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Leesville Rd near Simons Run. Authorities confirmed that one of the vehicles involved was a postal truck, while the second vehicle caught fire after the collision.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The driver of the postal truck sustained injuries, though the extent of their condition has not yet been determined. Meanwhile, the driver of the burning vehicle appeared to be unharmed, according to police reports.
Fire crews worked to contain and extinguish the flames while paramedics provided medical care to the injured driver. Officials have not yet determined the cause of the accident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
