Montgomery, NJ (February 21, 2025) – A fatal crash on Route 206 in Montgomery claimed the life of a Skillman man on Wednesday morning.
According to Montgomery Township Police, the accident occurred around 10 a.m. in front of the Nassau Tennis Club. A 2017 Subaru, driven by a 64-year-old man from Skillman, collided with the rear of a 2019 International delivery truck operated by a 44-year-old Burlington man.
Emergency crews responded quickly, extricating the Subaru driver from his vehicle. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was later pronounced dead. The truck driver was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Somerset with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither vehicle had passengers.
The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team. Authorities have not yet issued any citations related to the incident.
Route 206 was closed for approximately three hours as officials worked to investigate the scene and clear the roadway. Emergency personnel from Montgomery Township EMS, Montgomery Fire Companies #1 and #2, NJDOT/NJSP Incident Management Response Team, and Robert Wood Johnson Medics assisted at the scene.
