Scioto County, OH (February 20, 2025) – Authorities have released additional details about a tragic two-car crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old man and left another injured on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that Logan Alexander Etterling, 18, of Portsmouth, was pronounced dead at the scene following the accident. The crash occurred just before 2:45 p.m. on State Route 139, south of Rubyville, near the intersection of Maple Benner Road.
Investigators reported that Etterling’s vehicle, which was traveling northeast, crossed the center line and collided with another car driven by a 29-year-old Portsmouth man. The second driver sustained injuries and was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for treatment. Officials have not disclosed further details regarding his condition.
