Motorcycle Accidents in Washington
Motorcycle crashes, particularly those involving larger vehicles like semi-trucks, often result in severe or life-threatening injuries due to the lack of protection for riders. In Washington, highways such as SR 432 and I-5 experience significant commercial truck traffic, increasing the risks for motorcyclists who must navigate around larger vehicles.
Common causes of motorcycle accidents include driver inattention, unsafe lane changes, failure to yield, and poor visibility. Motorcyclists can improve their safety by wearing high-visibility gear, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, and practicing defensive riding techniques. Similarly, drivers of larger vehicles must remain vigilant and check blind spots carefully before making maneuvers.
