Head-On Collisions in Washington
Head-on crashes are among the most dangerous types of vehicle accidents, often leading to severe injuries or fatalities. These accidents frequently occur due to reckless passing, distracted driving, impairment, or hazardous road conditions. On highways like U.S. Route 195, where traffic moves at high speeds, even a brief loss of control can have devastating consequences.
Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution when attempting to pass on two-lane highways. Proper judgment of distance, speed, and oncoming traffic is crucial to ensuring safety. Washington state authorities continuously work to reduce these incidents through improved highway signage, education campaigns, and enforcement of speed limits.
