St. Charles, MO (February 17, 2025) – A head-on collision occurred early Sunday morning on Highway Z at Whispering Creek, resulting in one driver sustaining injuries. The crash was reported at approximately 12:20 a.m., prompting a response from local law enforcement and emergency medical personnel.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 31-year-old Florissant man was driving a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta northbound when he crossed the double yellow line. A southbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 50-year-old man from Foristell, attempted to avoid the Jetta by swerving left. However, the Jetta returned to the right lane and struck the Silverado head-on.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Superior Towing. The Volkswagen driver suffered injuries and was transported by the St. Charles County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for treatment. The Silverado driver did not report any injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash to determine if additional factors contributed to the collision.
