According to reports, 69-year-old Stephenette Dansby was attempting to cross the highway when she was struck by a 2004 Ford Expedition traveling westbound. The impact occurred in the right westbound lane at approximately 9:31 p.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Dansby was pronounced deceased.
