Frederick County, MD (February 17, 2025) – Two people lost their lives in a tragic two-vehicle collision on Saturday night along Buckeystown Pike, just south of Adamstown Road, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. when a Toyota Camry, driven by 43-year-old James Henry Walker of Dickerson, crossed the center line and crashed into a Hyundai Sonata driven by 31-year-old Caitlynn Nicole James of Frederick.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced Walker dead. James was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries but later succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators believe excessive speed and failure to maintain the correct lane contributed to the crash. Authorities also confirmed that Walker was driving with a suspended license.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of both victims during this difficult time.
