Pedestrian Crashes on Colorado Highways
Colorado’s highways and interchanges, particularly in urban areas like Twin Lakes near Denver, see frequent pedestrian-involved accidents, especially when individuals exit vehicles on high-speed roadways.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), pedestrian fatalities have been on the rise, with many incidents occurring in highway shoulders, breakdown lanes, or near busy intersections. Factors such as low visibility, high vehicle speeds, and driver distraction often contribute to these tragic accidents.
For families of victims in fatal accidents, understanding legal rights is critical. Surviving loved ones may be entitled to wrongful death compensation to cover medical expenses, funeral costs, and other damages.
