Joplin, MO (February 15, 2025) – A T-bone collision on Rangeline Rd, one mile south of Joplin, left two people injured on Saturday afternoon. The crash occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m., prompting an emergency response from local authorities and medical personnel.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident happened when a 2004 Buick Park Avenue attempted to cross the roadway and pulled into the path of a 2010 Dodge Challenger, resulting in a side-impact collision. The Challenger struck the Buick on the passenger side, causing moderate to severe damage to both vehicles.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical care to the injured. A 27-year-old female occupant of the Challenger sustained injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin. The 51-year-old female driver of the Challenger suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital for evaluation. The 45-year-old male driver of the Buick was not reported injured.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged and required towing from the scene. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
