Collins, MO (February 15, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred on MO-13, one mile south of Collins, on Friday morning, resulting in moderate injuries to one driver.
According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. when a 2015 Chrysler 200 stopped in the path of a 2024 Peterbilt truck. The truck driver attempted to avoid the Chrysler but was unable to do so, striking the vehicle from behind.
The Chrysler’s driver, a 29-year-old female from Sunrise Beach, MO, was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries. She was transported to CMH by EMS for further medical care. The driver of the Peterbilt truck, a 58-year-old male from Dallas, TX, was wearing a seatbelt and was not reported injured.
The Chrysler 200 sustained extensive damage and was towed by C&H Towing, while the Peterbilt truck had moderate damage and was towed by Mike’s Towing. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Troop D continues to investigate whether driver inattention or roadway conditions contributed to the crash.
