Allamuchy, NJ (February 14, 2024) – Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Interstate 80 eastbound near mile marker 17 early Friday morning.
Allamuchy Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:30 a.m. for reports of a crash on the right shoulder. Upon arrival, first responders assessed two injured individuals. Paramedics provided medical treatment on-site. Fortunately, both individuals declined further transport and refused medical assistance (RMA).
Multiple emergency units, including 91F, 95E, 46E, and 78E, were called to assist. Additional resources, including SC43E, were deployed at 5:37 a.m. to support ongoing response efforts. By 6:00 a.m., all units had cleared the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and remain alert, particularly during early morning hours when visibility and road conditions can vary.
