Tractor-Trailer Accidents in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania’s extensive highway system, including Interstate 81, is a crucial route for commercial trucks. Unfortunately, accidents involving tractor-trailers can be especially dangerous due to the size and weight of these vehicles. Collisions of this nature often result in severe injuries, road closures, and hazardous material spills.
According to data from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), large truck crashes account for a significant percentage of highway accidents in the state. Contributing factors often include driver fatigue, mechanical failures, and unsafe road conditions.
Drivers should remain cautious when traveling near large commercial vehicles and always allow extra space when sharing the road with tractor-trailers. If you or a loved one has been injured in a truck accident, seeking medical attention and legal guidance can be essential steps in the recovery process.
