Franklin County, VA (February 14, 2025) – Emergency responders from Glade Hill Volunteer Fire Company and Cool Branch Rescue were dispatched to the 6700 block of Route 40 (Old Franklin Turnpike) near Byrds Mill Rd on Thursday following a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries.
First responders provided medical care to those injured at the scene before transporting them to local hospitals for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities temporarily blocked one lane of Route 40 while crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the collision. Local law enforcement continues to examine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
