Salisbury Twp, PA (February 11, 2025) – A tragic accident occurred on Monday afternoon in Salisbury Township, leaving a father dead and his two young sons critically injured after they were struck by a van. The collision took place in the 5800 block of Old Philadelphia Pike at approximately 3:03 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Authorities reported that 31-year-old Emanuel Blank, of Gap, was riding a scooter with his 6-year-old and 15-month-old sons when they were hit by a Mercedes Sprinter van. Emergency responders were quick to the scene to provide care. The 6-year-old was airlifted to Hershey Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries, while Blank and his 15-month-old son were transported to Lancaster General Hospital.
Tragically, Emanuel Blank succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Both children remain in critical condition, according to officials. The driver of the Sprinter van was not injured in the crash.
