Lafayette, LA (February 10, 2025) – A five-vehicle collision on Ambassador Caffery Parkway near Vivian Dr resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Sunday afternoon.
The Lafayette Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene at approximately 2:08 p.m. According to investigators, a vehicle traveling in the outside southbound lane—identified as Vehicle 1—rear-ended another vehicle, causing it to spin out of control and strike three additional vehicles.
The driver of Vehicle 1 was pronounced dead at the scene. All other drivers and passengers involved in the crash sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to local hospitals. Authorities confirmed that all injured individuals are currently in stable condition.
