Greene County, MO (February 9, 2025) – Emergency responders were quick to the scene of a serious two-vehicle accident on US 60 at Route FF, approximately 0.25 miles south of Springfield, late Friday night. The crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. and involved a 2015 Ford Expedition and a 2016 Toyota 4-Runner.
According to authorities, the Ford Expedition, driven by a 31-year-old woman from Springfield, MO, turned into the path of the southbound Toyota 4-Runner, driven by a 32-year-old woman from Republic, MO. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Henry’s Towing of Brookline.
First responders from Greene County arrived promptly to provide assistance. A 12-year-old male passenger in the Toyota 4-Runner suffered injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. No additional injuries were reported.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by local authorities.
