Failure to Yield Accidents in Missouri
Failure to yield is one of the leading causes of intersection and highway crashes, often resulting in serious injuries. Collisions involving vehicles being forced off the roadway can be particularly dangerous, as they may lead to rollovers, water submersion, or collisions with fixed objects.
Victims of traffic accidents may experience medical expenses, lost wages, and vehicle repair costs. Under Missouri law, individuals injured in crashes caused by another driver’s negligence may have legal options to seek compensation for their damages.
To reduce the risk of failure-to-yield accidents, drivers should remain alert at intersections, obey all traffic signs and signals, and ensure it is safe before proceeding. Defensive driving techniques can help minimize accident risks in high-traffic areas.
